Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
Hosting three Schools and five further departments, the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences delivers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across our Chester and Warrington campuses.
School of Humanities
The School of Humanities' primary commitment is to the provision of high-quality taught programmes, fully informed by scholarship and research. The school also attaches great importance to its many and varied collaborative activities (local, regional, national and international), since these conspicuously enrich the provision the faculty is able to offer. The most recent RAE submissions for English, History and TRS have been particularly successful. Departments within this School include:
- English
- History and Archaeology
- Institute of Gender Studies
- Languages and Cultures
- Theology and Religious Studies
Chester Law School
The Chester Law School was established in 2004 and is now an established part of the legal community based in Chester and the surrounding area, with over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The School has close links with The University of Law (ULaw) at Queen's Park Campus, where you can study ULaw’s Legal Practice Course (LPC), Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL), Master of Arts in Law (MA Law- Conversion), Master of Arts in Law SQE1 (MA Law SQE1), LLM Legal Practice (SQE1&2) and Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) courses.
